Random Webkinz Tips #4

Random Webkinz Tips #4

Here are some more random Webkinz Tips!  I'm really starting to run out of them, but I managed to think of a few more for this post!  This is the fourth installment in my Webkinz Tips series. You can read my other tips posts here, here, and here.

Tip #1: If you buy a W-Shop item with a coupon that is worth more than 50% off, you can sell the item back to the W-Shop for a small profit.

Tip #2: I have said this before but it is a good trick: if you have two accounts, buy that day's rare item on both accounts.  That way you have one for yourself and one to trade.  The advantages of having multiple accounts are numerous; if you are adopting another pet, I highly suggest opening a free account and adopting the pet on that account instead of your main one.  You will get a free pet and PSI when you open up a free account.

Tip #3: Certain challenges require you to feed a particular food to your pet.  For a recent Winter challenge, for example, I had to feed my pet 5 Adventure Snack Bars.  If your pet is full and their hunger level at 100, and you feed the snack to them, they will refuse to eat it but it will still count towards the challenge.  You can then continue feeding it to them however many times is required, and they won't eat it but it will still count.  This is especially useful for when you have to feed your pet a special food that you have to go to the Clubhouse to get, for example.

Tip #4: If there are no jobs at the Employment Office that you're interested in doing, wait until the end of the hour.  Every hour the jobs change and new ones appear.

Tip #5: Check the Curio Shop even if you already bought the rare item that day and you know Arte isn't planning on selling more.  Certain items (like the Medieval Side Table and Trophy Pedestal, for example) are not technically rare items, but are part of rare themes.  They are called 'Arte's Favorite' items and they are available at random times throughout the day.

Tip #6: You can trade gems with Doug the Dog multiple times a day if you just switch pets. Go to Doug's Collector Room in the Clubhouse, trade with Doug, then go to the Arcade or your house, switch pets, and then go trade with Doug again. The same pet can't trade with Doug twice, and the prize levels start at the beginning (i.e. if you've been trading with Doug for a long time, and then trade with him with a new pet who hasn't traded with him before, you will receive the first prize: the Rocky Road Ice Cream Cone). Thus, you can earn duplicates of all Doug the Dog prizes!  Make sure to save your gems so you can trade with Doug.

I hope this helps!

How to Win the Webkinz Leapin' Llama Trophy

 Guide to Webkinz Leapin' Llama

Leapin' Llama is a not too difficult game that has a cool trophy you can win.  The object of the game is to guide Lulu the Llama over mountainous terrain, collecting bonuses and jumping over obstacles such as rocks, plants, gaps, and scorpions.  Each time Lulu hits an obstacle she will lose one hit point.  The game ends if Lulu loses all of her hit points or she falls into one of the gaps.  Use the space bar or up arrow key to make Lulu jump over gaps and obstacles.

The game uses a multiplier, which starts at 1.  Collecting beans will increase your multiplier, doubling, tripling and even quadrupling the points you earn from coins and meters.  If you hit an obstacle your multiplier will reset to 1, and you have to start the process of building it up all over again.

You can collect 3 different bonuses in the game:
File:Bean.jpg‎
Bean: Collect 3 beans and your multiplier will raise by 0.5. You can keep collecting beans until your multiplier reaches 4, after which they have no effect.  You can collect three different bonuses in the game.

File:Coin.jpg‎

Coin: Collect coins for bonus points. Each coin is worth 300 points.

File:Alfalfa.jpg‎

Alfalfa: Collect jars of alfalfa to increase your hit points.  There isn't a maximum number of hit points you can have at any one time.
The Trophy
A trophy is awarded after reaching 1500 meters, and is awarded once you lose the game.  The trophy can only be won once per account, and unfortunately cannot be traded, sold, or sent via Kinzpost.

Good luck winning the Leapin' Llama trophy!

Random Webkinz World Tips #3

The Do's & Don'ts of Webkinz World

Welcome!  Here is another list of 25 Webkinz tips!

Links to my other Webkinz Tips posts:

Tip #1: Don't sell items that you know you will have to repurchase later. There is no point, as you just end up losing kinzcash in the long run.  I only recommend doing this if you need kinzcash quickly, say to buy a rare item that is only on sale for a limited period of time.

Tip #2Do enroll two pets in classes at the Kinzville Academy.  Originally, I only completed classes with my pet Shep at the Kinzville Academy.  Shep is now level 10 in most subjects, but my other pets are all at rather low levels.  This is fine for competing at the Webkinz Stadium, as I only enter Shep in competitions and Quick Events.  However, every time a pet completes a level 10 class at the academy, you get to choose a really cool prize, and the number of classes your other pets have to do decreases.  The number of classes the first two pets have to do is the highest, so it is best to enroll two of them in the Academy, and enroll your other pets in the class once your first one or two have completed level 10 (they will have to do far fewer classes). I also do classes with my pet Cassie now.

Tip #3: Don't close games / activities until you are finished and have received the kinzcash. If you exit the game too early, sometimes you won't receive the kinzcash!

Tip #4: Do sell items you don't want (but don't sell special or rare event prizes).  Every day, I sell the prizes that I earned if I don't want them.  For example, if I win a Wacky Snack Pack, I sell the food that comes in it because it sells for a lot more than normal food, and isn't a special item.

Tip #5: Don't play Rock the Boat on Vacation Island if you are trying to increase your pet's Family Score.  If your pet sees the ghost, its energy levels will decrease to zero.  If you don't care about your family score it's fine to play the game, though I often find it is not worth it. However, if you see the ghost but close the game immediately, sometimes your pets health levels won't decrease.

Tip #6: Do buy food for your pets. I like to buy a bunch of food from the W-Shop at once for my pets, as it keeps their energy levels high when I feed it to them and increases my family score.  I also grow Farm Fresh food to feed to them.

Tip #7: Don't try to make food or clothing recipes on your own.  The probability of guessing a correct recipe is very low.  If you want to make a food or clothing recipe, I have a list of food recipes here and a list of clothing recipes here.

Tip #8: Do check Today's Activities every hour when you're playing Webkinz.  If you play multiple times a day or for more than one hour at a time, make sure you check Today's Activities to see what the hourly activity is. Every hour, the activity changes and you get to do a new activity, such as Balloon Dartz or the Prize Claw.

Tip #9: Don't bother playing certain Today's Activities like the Jellybean Challenge, Quick Draws, or even Quizzy's Blast.  I find that these activities award so little kinzcash or give you such a low probability of winning that it's not worth playing.  I do have a guide to winning the Jellybean Challenge however, so if you would like to try to win it you can check that out here.

Tip #10: Do play games at the Tournament Arena instead of the Arcade.  If you have a favourite game, play it at the Tournament Arena.  This way, if you place in the tournament, you can earn extra kinzcash in addition to the kinzcash you already earned playing the game.

Tip #11: Don't sell rare or exclusive items.  Exclusive items often don't sell for that much kinzcash (much less than they're worth) and though some rare items do sell for a lot, it is usually better to trade them if you don't like them.  You can always earn more kinzcash the next day.

Tip #12: Do spin the Wheel of Wishes at the Wish Factory every day if you are a Deluxe member.  I also make a Wish of the Day every time I play, but I have never won despite making over a hundred wishes.  If you are not a Deluxe member I do not recommend making a Wish of the Day, as it is not worth it to go to the Wish Factory just for that reason.

Tip #13: Don't buy Pet-Specific foods.  These foods are really expensive (25 kc) and it's often not worth it to feed them to your pet.  Regular W-Shop foods are fine.

Tip #14: Do decorate your Kinzville Map.  It looks so much nicer when you organize and decorate it.  I have a post about how to do that here!

Tip #15: Don't do easy jobs at the Employment Office.  They are not worth the effort, as you can earn much more kinzcash by doing a hard or medium job.  I recommend mastering at least one or two hard jobs (the Kinzville Mover job is easier in my opinion) and at least two or three medium jobs (I like the Babysitter job and the Grocery Clerk job).

Tip #16: Do check Webkinz Newz whenever you play Webkinz.  I go on Webkinz Newz every time I play Webkinz in order to 1) earn moneyz and 2) see what is happening in Webkinz World (you can see if there are new themes, new challenges, etc).  You can exchange moneyz for cool prizes; I have a post about that here.

Tip #16Don't buy a ton of E-Store points.  I like to buy them occasionally, but it's usually not worth it since there are a lot of other items you can buy from the W-Shop or Curio Shop, or that you can win.

Tip #17Do buy items from Arte at the Curio Shop.  Sometimes they cost less than at the W-Shop.

Tip #18Don't enter large Open, Deluxe, or Pro competitions at the Webkinz Stadium until you are at least level 9+ (ideally 10) in all three relevant classes at the Kinzville Academy (for Quick Events, you can still win if you are level 10 in two subjects and levels 5-9 in one subject).  In big competitions though, you definitely will not place without being level 10.  For Amateur competitions, enter when you are level 5 in all three classes.

Tip #19Do put your pet to bed before you log out. Their energy levels will be higher when you log back in.

Tip #20Don't sell most prizes that you can't buy again.  Of course, I sell a lot of items that I win each day (like Vacation Wheel prizes, etc) but you should try to save most challenge and event prizes even if you don't have a current use for them, as you might be able to trade them later.

Tip #21Do have a storage room (or two, or three!) for extra items.

One of my Storage Rooms:

Tip #22Don't buy small rooms.  They are usually not big enough for any room design.  See my decorating tips page here.

Tip #23Do buy small items with E-Store points, like wallpaper, flooring, or small room decorations.  These cost far fewer points and make rooms look really good.

Tip #24Don't buy really expensive items from the W-Shop without a coupon.  The best items to use coupons for are the really expensive ones that cost upwards of 1000 kinzcash.

Tip #25Do label your rooms in a clear way that makes sense to you.  I have a system that I use for labeling my rooms and it makes it easier to find them, which can be hard because I have so many now.  Also, group similar rooms together. Ex: I put all of my classrooms in a row next to each other.

I hope this helps!

Guide to Webkinz Jumbleberry Fields

How to Fill Your Jars Faster in Jumbleberry Fields!

The higher your score in Jumbleberry Fields, the more berries you win and the more likely you are to receive Moonberries (the hardest berry to win).  Once you earn 100 of each berry, you fill the jar and get to choose a prize. Here is a list of tips for increasing your Jumbleberry Fields score so that you can earn more berries, fill your jars quicker and win prizes faster!

Each berry is worth a different amount in the game:
Jumbleberry: 2 points
Sugarberry: 2 points
Pickleberry: 4 points
Moonberry: 7 points

Tips for filling your jars faster:

Tip #1: If you roll the dice and a Moonberry shows up, always lock the jar (and leave the other jars unlocked). Moonberries are the least common so make sure to save them if you get them.

Tip #2: When making a basket of three, try to make sure at least two of the berries are Moonberries or Pickleberries.  Some of the highest scoring baskets of three have, for example, 2 Pickleberries + 3 Moonberries, or 3 Pickleberrries + 2 Moonberries.

Tip #3: The basket of 5 is the hardest and least useful basket to get in my opinion.  Even if you roll 5 Jumbleberries or Sugarberries, you still only receive 10 points, which isn't a lot.  If you can, try to get a basket of 5 Pickleberries, though this is quite hard (getting a basket of 5 Moonberries is extremely hard and earns you a badge). If you need to forfeit one basket, forfeit this one.

Tip #4: Don't bother trying to roll perfect scores for the Jumbleberry or Sugarberry categories.  Use these categories as back-up for when you aren't able to roll a Moonberry or Pickleberry.

Tip #5: For the basket of four, try to get at least four Pickleberries (if not Moonberries).  Or, try to get four Jumbleberries / Sugarberries + one Moonberry (this will get you 15 points).

Tip #6: For the Free Roll basket, try and get as many Moonberries and Pickleberries as possible (ex: 2 Moonberries + 2 Pickleberries + 1 Sugarberry is 24 points).  For the Moonberry basket, you ideally want at least 2-3 Moonberries. 2 Moonberries will get you 14 points, and 3 will get you 21 points.

Tip #7: For the Mixed Basket, you need one of each berry.  For the fifth berry, try to get a Moonberry or Pickleberry as it will increase your score the most.  If you get one of each berry plus a Jumbleberry / Sugarberry you get 15 points, while if you get one of each berry plus a Pickleberry you get 17 points.  If you get one of each berry plus a Moonberry you get 22 points.

Tip #8: You never want to get the flies on any of your rolls, though they don't affect your scores on the single baskets; they just affect the Basket of 3, Basket of 4, Basket of 5, Mixed Basket, and Free Roll.

Tip #9: Moonberries / Pickleberries only count for the basket of three, basket of four, basket of five,  mixed basket, and free roll. They don't matter for the Jumbleberry / Sugarberry baskets obviously, and vice versa.

Tip #10: Don't feed your berries to your pets (unless you have to for a challenge).  Even though you can sometimes win baked goods or juice by feeding berries to your pets, you don't earn any actual room items like you would if you filled your jars.

Some of the current prizes you can earn by filling your jars:

Jumbleberry Prizes:

Sugarberry Prizes

Pickleberry Prizes

Moonberry Prizes

As you can see, the Moonberry prizes are the biggest as they are the hardest to earn.  My favourite prizes are the Farmhouse Wallpaper and the Jumbleberry Fields Aracde Unit.  I want to get the Hayloft Bunk Bed next, and make a Farm House.

I hope this helps!  Good luck earning Moonberries!

Webkinz Pizza Palace Tips #2

Webkinz Pizza Palace: The Ideal
Way to Play

The best way to play Pizza Palace is by playing with the order patterns on the screen beside the game. Above is a screenshot of my screen while playing. This way, you can see the level patterns while playing and know what pizzas to make ahead of time.  However, if you are playing on the Desktop app you can only play in full screen mode, but you can pull up the level patterns on your phone instead.

Tip: Don't skip the tutorial. The extra cash is useful later on for upgrading appliances.

Prior to level 13, you should upgrade your topping machines and everything else except your last oven and pizza maker.  It it useful to have three upgraded topping machines for level 13 rather than pizza makers, since it is the quarter pizza level and quarter pizzas take very little time to make.

By level 14, you should be able to upgrade all of your appliances.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Pippa

Random Webkinz Tips #2

                    Random Webkinz Tips #2

Here is a Part 2 to my first post, Random Webkinz Tips. I hope you guys find these additional tips helpful!

10 Random Webkinz Tips

Tip #1: Store clothing on your pets. Each pet can wear up to five outfits, so I keep some clothing on each pet. This way, I don't have to keep all of them in my dock or buy a ton of storage space to keep them in. However, be careful you don't forget where your clothing items are! I have before. If you have a lot of clothing, you can write down what every pet is wearing on a note on your computer. Or, you can make a Closet to store your pets' clothes; that's what I did.

My Closet:

Tip #2: Add Webkinz World characters to your Friends List (ex: Arte Fact, Amanda Panda, Sheldon Turtle). You can ask them for items for challenges, and they will sometimes send them to you.

Tip #3: The W-Shop will steal your coupons! If you drag a coupon into the W-Shop to buy an item, and you don't buy the item and click somewhere else without putting the coupon back in your dock, it will take your coupon and you won't get it back!

Tip #4: If the Curio Shop is selling an item you need from the W-Shop, buy it from the Curio Shop (even if it costs a little more kinzcash). This will help you establish rapport with Arte, who will tell you what time he is selling rare items if you buy from/tip him often enough.

Tip #5: Wall decorations look better on the right wall of rooms. For some reason, they appear lighter and more coloured when you hang them on this side. Some items look the same, like most clocks, or appear higher/lower depending on which wall you put them on. For these reasons, I usually put my favourite paintings on the right wall. The same goes for furniture; if it is facing the left back wall it will often look better, while it will look darker if it is facing the right back wall.

Tip #6: Sell your gems! The Crown of Wonder doesn't sell for much more than all the gems combined I believe, especially if you factor in the profit from the several duplicates that you will sell.

Tip #7: Playing Arcade games is usually easier on a computer with a mouse rather than a laptop, however it is easy on a laptop if you set it so that you simply have to lightly tap the keyboard rather than press it and click, as you can select things much faster this way.

Tip #8: If you leave a Quick Event while your pet is still competing, and you place in the event, often you will still receive kinzcash and a medal (although this does not always work).

Tip #9: If you feed the food prizes you win in Daily Activities to your pet, you will not have to buy them that much food from the W-Shop. Most prize foods only sell for 10 kc so they are not worth selling, though Wacky Snack Pack foods are worth selling as they sell for 20-40 kc each.

Tip #10: When arranging a room, turn items so that they are facing in the right direction according to the room's decor. Ex: turn stone garden tiles so that they are not all facing the same way and look the same; they will look better this way.  Also, items look better facing the left back wall instead of the right back wall; they show up brighter in colour.

Ex:

Bulletin Board on right wall vs. left wall

I hope these tips helped!

Webkinz Pizza Palace: How to Win

Guide to Webkinz Pizza Palace

Pizza Palace has been my favourite arcade game for many years.  I have been able to get to level 17 out of the total 18 using the following tips.

This is how much $$$ you earn per pizza:
1/4 pizza, 0 topping = $20
1/4 pizza, 1 topping = $301/4 pizza, 2 toppings = $451/4 pizza, 3 toppings = $60
1/2 pizza, 0 topping = $451/2 pizza, 1 topping = $551/2 pizza, 2 toppings = $701/2 pizza, 3 toppings = $85
1/1 pizza, 0 topping = $1001/1 pizza, 1 topping = $1101/1 pizza, 2 toppings = $1251/1 pizza, 3 toppings = $140

The level patterns do not changer as you advance through the game.  The only things that changes is which toppings should be on the pizza, though the amount of toppings will remain the same.  The more you play the game, the easier it will be to recognize the level patterns and remember what orders are coming next.  Once you get good at the game, I also recommend playing it at the Tournament Arena because you can potentially earn extra kinzcash if you place in the tournament.

While you're playing pizza palace, use your browser's split screen feature and put the level patterns on the left side of your screen and the game on the right. This will help you make more pizzas ahead of time before you memorize more of the higher levels.

Recommended Upgrades:
After level 1: Upgrade shoes
After level 2: Buy 2nd pizza maker
After level 3: Buy 2nd topping machine
After level 4: No upgrades
After level 5: Buy 2nd oven
After level 6: Buy 3rd topping machine
After level 7: Buy 3rd pizza maker, upgrade shoes
After level 8: Upgrade 1st oven, upgrade 1st pizza maker
After level 9: Upgrade 1st and 2nd topping machines
After level 10: Upgrade 2nd oven, upgrade 2nd and 3rd pizza makers
After level 11: Upgrade 3rd topping machine

*^You do not need to follow this exact upgrade pattern. I sometimes upgrade differently and it has no effect on my score.

Level 1 - Don't skip this level! The extra 50 dollars could be useful later on.
