Webkinz Deluxe Membership vs Regular

Is A Webkinz Deluxe Membership
Worth It?

I previously planned to make this post before Ganz changed the features of the regular membership to be a lot more limited.  In my opinion, a Deluxe membership is now necessary to enjoy all of the daily activities and games Webkinz has to offer.  This is annoying, but true.  There is not much else to say on this topic, but I do recommend taking advantage of the 1 month $0.99 Deluxe upgrade that is available once per account.  You can open a second account for free, upgrade it for $0.99, and send prizes and items to your regular account.  I hope this helps, thanks for reading!

How To Get (almost) Free PSI!

How To Get (almost) Free PSI!

Hey guys! Long time no post as I've been so busy with school :(
Recently I figured out a super clever trick to getting more PSI (pet specific items).  Here's what I did!!

1. Go to the webkinz homepage and select Create A New Account.  When you create a free account, you get to choose a free pet.  Here are the pets currently available:

As you can see, you currently have the option to adopt either the Afghan Hound, Cloud Sheep, Floppy Eared Bunny, Ice Fawn, Leonberger, Himalyan Cat, Big Top Elephant, Sun Fox, or Grey Wolf.  Each of these pets come with a PSI, just like pets purchased in the estore.  The free pets offered may change however, as I'm not sure if / how often Ganz updates them.

The Afghan Hound comes with a Stylish Salon Seating PSI

The Cloud Sheep comes with a Float Away Fantasy Fridge PSI

The Floppy Eared Bunny comes with a Carrot Car PSI

The ice Fox comes with a Musical Ice Box PSI

The Leonberger comes with a Puppy Grub Tub PSI

The Himalayan Cat comes with a Yeti Mountain Window PSI

The Big Top Elephant comes with a Three Ring Swing PSI

The Sun Fox comes with a Solar Speedster PSI

The Grey Wolf comes with a Red Hooded Riding Car PSI

2. Next, choose whichever PSI you want and adopt the pet that it comes with. I personally chose the Himalayan Cat, because I have been trying to add a Yeti Mountain Window to my collection for a very long time!

3. Upgrade your free account to a deluxe one.  Unfortunately this step is necessary as you do not have access to kinzpost on a free account even with the deluxe free trial.  The cheapest way to get access to kinzpost would be to upgrade to a deluxe membership as opposed to adopting a pet, which costs $10+.  However, upgrading your account to a one month deluxe membership only costs 99 cents ($1.11 CAD) as of now.  This really isn't a lot, especially considering you get to enjoy a whole month of deluxe membership on that account.  Don't forget to cancel auto renewal of your new deluxe membership if you don't want to keep paying monthly fees!

4. Send a friend request from your new account to your main one and then log into your main account to accept it.  Then, simply log back into your new account and send the PSI to your main account through kinzpost!

So there you have it, a cool way to get a new PSI for only a dollar.  Hopefully Ganz doesn't stop allowing people to create free accounts! You can also use your second account for other things, too.  See my previous post Advantages of Having 2 Accounts to find out what the benefits of having a second account are!

Advantages of Having 2 Webkinz Accounts

             Advantages of Having 2 Accounts

Having two (or more!) Webkinz accounts is a great way to earn more kinzcash and prizes as well as finish rooms faster.  I personally have two accounts; my main account, and my sister's old account that she gave me (edit: I now have 4 accounts, though not all are Deluxe).

Whenever I play Webkinz, I log into my main account and do my daily activities (Wheel of Wow, gem hunt, etc).  Then, I log into my other account and do the same.  I then use the money I earned on my second account to buy things I want for my main account and send them to it through kinzpost.  For example: if I am in the process of designing a kitchen on my main account, I'll use the kc I earned on my second account to buy a stove and a fridge and then I'll send them to my main account (it's more worth it to send really expensive items).  This way, I can use the kc I earned on my main account for other things, like a table and chair for the kitchen, for example.   I also send whatever prizes I win on my secondary accounts to my main account.  This way I earn 2x as many challenge prizes or Deluxe Day prizes, for example.

Advantages of Having 2 Accounts:

- Extra turns on The Wheel of Wow / Deluxe Wheel / Wishing Well 2 and more every day.
- You get to visit the Kinzville Mall and fill your Jumbleberry Fields jars twice as often.
- Extra turns hunting for gems and doing jobs every day.
- Extra prizes (ex: you can only earn 5 Winterfest prizes per day, but if you have two accounts, you can earn 10)
- You get to buy at least two of the rare item each day (each account is limited to one purchase). I like to buy extras of rare items so that I can trade them for other cool stuff later. See my guide to trading here.
- If there is a pet that has a cool PSI that you want, but you really don't like the pet, you can adopt it on your secondary account and then send the PSI to your main account (you need to adopt pets occasionally to keep your secondary account active anyway).  I personally only like the realistic-looking and signature pets; I usually don't like the patterned or brightly coloured ones, so I don't adopt those on my main account.
- You can get an (almost) free PSI by signing up for a free account (it comes with a free pet and PSI) and then upgrading to a Deluxe or full membership.  Next, send the PSIs to your main account. This only costs $0.99 to do, as new accounts can sign up for a 1 month Deluxe membership for just $0.99.

*Note: You do not need to have a Deluxe membership on your second account to do most of these things!  Full members (non-Deluxe) can still send items through kinzpost (which is the main feature you need here).  Free members cannot send gifts through kinzpost, however.

I hope this helps!

How To Win The Webkinz Jellybean Challenge

How To Win The Webkinz
Jellybean Challenge

The jellybean challenge always seemed impossible to win.  Whenever I entered a guess, a message would pop up saying "Wow.  That was way off."  I could never figure out the secret to guessing the number of beans.  However, I have recently figured out how to get closer to guessing the actual number.

The maximum number of jellybeans that can fill up the jar is 10,000.

"Wow, that was way off!" - You are 1000 beans or more off in your guess.

"You'll need to be closer!" - You are 500 to 999 beans off in your guess.

"Not a bad guess!" - You are between 200 and 499 beans off in your guess.

"Oooo, that was close!" - You are 200 beans or under off in your guess!

Here is a chart I found that can help you with your guess.

Good luck!

How To Get The Highest Score Of The Day In A Webkinz Arcade Game

How To Get The Highest Score Of The Day In A Webkinz Arcade Game

In the arcade, there is a picture above each game of the member that got the highest score that day playing that game.  The member's score is also pictured.  Usually, the scores are quite high, especially at the end of the day.  However, if you want to see your pet pictured above one of the arcade games, all you have to do is know when to play.

Recently I got the high score of the day in the game Leapin' Llama.  If you look at what time it is in Kinzville, you will see it is only 12:57 am.  Since it was so early in webkinz world, not many people had had a chance to play Leapin' Llama.  Kinztime is many hours ahead of the time where I live, which is why I am able to log on so late.  I was able to get the high score because the member before me had not gotten a very high score.  If you look at the arcade game high scores at the end of the day(in webkinz world)  you will notice the scores are very high because many people have played the game, including some very skilled gamers who get the high score.  If you play the game at midnight in webkinz world, you have a good chance of getting the high score because the high score you have to beat will likely be fairly low.  Someone beat my score later that day, which was okay by me because I knew it was going to happen, but I still though it was pretty cool that my pet's picture was up in the arcade for everybody to see.  Good luck!

What Are Webkinz Promo Items?

Webkinz Promo Items

When I'm in the Trading Room at the Clubhouse, I am often asked in kinzchat plus if I have any "promo" items.  "Promo," or "promotional" items, are items that are awarded to Webkinz World players who purchase certain eStore pets, certain eStore virtual items, or certain amounts of Ganz eStore points.  It is a broad category that includes a lot of stuff.  Promotional items are usually only offered for just a few days at the eStore, and many can be purchased in Surprise Boxes (boxes that include one mystery prize out of five prizes). Some promo items are trade-able and sendable through kinzpost, while others are not.  Also, some promo items are very rare and are particularly popular among Webkinz World players, so look out for those.

You can find Promo items in the 'Promotions' section at the E-Store:

Popular Promo Items:

Merry Melodies Hat

Fairy Den Dress

Ketchup Bottle Hat & Suit

Cheeseburger Costume

I hope this helps!

The Employment Office

The Employment Office

Doing jobs at the Employment Office is one of my main ways of earning kinzcash.  If you do the right jobs often, you can start earning a lot of kinzcash there every day.

How to earning a lot of kinzcash:

Tip #1: Master a hard job. As you can see on the chart below, the jobs are divided into 3 categories: Easy, Medium, and Hard.  If you make it to level 3 on a hard job, that means you will earn 350 kinzcash every time you do that job. There are only 2 hard jobs; Kinzpost Sorter and Kinzville Mover.  I highly recommend Kinzville Mover.  I personally find it a lot easier and quicker to complete.

Tip #2: Go deluxe.  I realize that that isn't an option for everyone, but if you can go deluxe, do.  You get to do an extra job every day. So, if I master a hard job like Kinzville Mover, I can potentially earn 700 kinzcash a day by doing that job twice.

Tip #3: Do jobs more than once a day.  Since you can do a job every 8 hours, you can potentially do 3 jobs per day (not including your Deluxe job).  If I do the Kinzville Mover three times a day, plus one extra Deluxe time, I can potentially earn 1400 kinzcash a day at the Employment Office.  However, that isn't very realistic, as few people have the time to do that. If you can though, try going on Webkinz in the morning, do a job + your Deluxe job, then log on in the afternoon/evening and do another job.  That is more realistic, and you will earn 1050 kinzcash!

Tip #4: Have at least two medium-level back-up jobs that you can do if there are no hard jobs available that hour.  You should be level three in these jobs (you will earn 250 kc each time).  I like the Grocery Clerk job and the Babysitter job; they are the easiest medium jobs in my opinion.  If you are a fast typer, the Ms. Birdy's Assistant job is not that hard either.

Tip #5: Sometimes you can do extra jobs if you go to Today's Activities.  You don't get to choose what extra job you do, so it's a good idea to be level 3 in most jobs so that you can earn the maximum amount of kinzcash.

I hope this helps!

Wacky Logout Carnival

Wacky Logout Carnival

EDIT 2020: Unfortunately, the Wacky Logout Carnival has been removed from the Webkinz site.  I am leaving this post up for archival purposes, and for the event that it is ever brought back.

The Wacky Logout Carnival is a great way to earn extra kinzcash and receive cool items.  However, it can be difficult to win the big prizes, such as the Wacky Hot Air Balloon.  Here are some tips to make winning much easier.

The carnival has three games, Launch Wacky, Wacky Piñata, and Balloon Dartz.

Launch Wacky:
This game consists of four dials that can be set to different positions prior to clicking the "launch" button. If you launch wacky to the top, you win a Wacky Hot Air Balloon.  There is no guaranteed way of winning this game, but I have noticed that if you set each dial to seven o'clock, you will either win the balloon, or earn a large amount of kinzcash for getting Wacky close to the top.

Wacky Hot Air Balloon

The Wacky Hot Air Balloon can be sold for 250 kc.

Wacky Piñata:
In this game, you get 3 tries to hit the piñata.  You hit it by simply clicking hit (pretty simple).  Again, there is no guaranteed way of winning this game, either.  However, if you wait until the dial is at the end of the red section, and then click 'Hit,' you will likely be able to burst the piñata if you do that every time. That is just based on my own experience, however.  I do that almost every time I go to the carnival, and I pop the piñata almost every single time. In this game, you can win kinzcash, wish tokens, food or daily kinzcare prizes.

Wacky Balloon Dartz:
This game is similar to token balloon dartz or regular balloon dartz.  All you have to do is pop the balloons. Wait until the dial is at the green section to throw your dart or else it will be too high or too low.  You can win kinzcash, daily kinzcare prizes, and wish tokens in this game.

I hope this helps!

How to Get Webkinz Rare Items

How to Get Rare Items

You may have noticed that in many of my rooms I have rare items.  Rare items can be hard to find (hence the name rare), but they are actually not nearly as hard to find as you might think.  Lately I've been buying one every other day! There are 4 main ways to get rare items, which I will discuss below.

Rare Themes & Examples of Rare Items:

Ancient Civilization (very expensive)

Aztec (most expensive)

Medieval

Neo Gothic (least expensive)

Palace Princess (least expensive)

Persian Palace (my favorite!)

Victorian Garden

Whimsical Wonderland

There are also many rare items that are not part of a specific theme, such as these ones:

4 Ways to Get Rare Items:

1. Buy them from the Curio Shop.  This is the classic, most simple option, but it can take a looong time to complete a theme or find the specific item you want.  While it's easy to find rare items in general (you can easily buy at least one rare item every day if you go to the Curio Shop at the right time), each individual rare item only goes on sale about 5 times per year (more or less).  So if you need the Victorian Garden Apollo Fountain to complete a room, that means you will only have around 5 chances per year to buy it from the Curio Shop.  Thus, purchasing rares from the Curio Shop is one of the hardest ways to get specific rare items, though it is one of the easiest ways to get rare items in general. You will also need a lot of kinzcash.  Some of the rare themes (such as the Ancient Civilization, Aztec, and Persian themes) are very expensive, while others (such as the Neo-Gothic and Wonderland themes) are relatively inexpensive.
I highly suggest building up rapport with Arte so that he tells you when the rare items will be for sale. If you buy stuff from him often and tip him 100 kc every day (small tips offend Arte) you will eventually reach level 6, and when you ask him about rare items he will hold up a sign that tells you what time the rare item will be on sale that day:

2. Visit the forum section on Webkinz Newz (this also works if you are looking for other non-rare items).  If you do not know what the forum section is, it is a place on Webkinz Newz where Newz members can discuss Webkinz World related topics.  In the forum section, you post topics and people can reply to them. That is essentially what the forum section is.  Here's what to do: Go to Webkinz Newz.  In the top right corner, click join, and sign up for a Newz account or just log in with your Webkinz account.  Next, click on Forums, then click on Webkinz World.  That will take you to the Webkinz World forum section.  Select the section you want to post in (i.e. 'Giveaways,' 'I Need This Item').  Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will see two white boxes with the words "Create New Topic In "Webkinz World"".  Now, post a new topic.  If you are looking for items from the Medieval theme, for example, you would title your topic "Looking For Medieval Rares" and then, in the second box, add a bit more information, like what you are offering to trade, which Medieval items you already have, etc.  After your topic has been approved, people can start replying to it. Sometimes, if you are lucky, someone will be very generous and offer you whatever you are looking for for free.  This has happened to me two times.  I posted on Webkinz Newz about how I was looking for  Persian rares, and someone offered me a ton of the Persian items for free.  I friended them and they sent me all the items through kinzpost.  If somebody does that for you, be sure to thank them with a reply on the forums and a note through kinzpost. Don't ask people to do that for you, though!  If they want to, they will offer.  Be sure to pass on the kindness, too!  If you see someone on the forums who really needs an item you have and you don't really need it, offer it to them for free if you can.  They will be very thankful.

3. Use the Trading Room at the Clubhouse. I highly, highly recommend using Kinzchat Plus.  It makes trading SO much easier.  Just go to the trading room and shout out exactly what you are looking for and/or what you have for trade. You can also ask people to trade and ask if they have a specific item, and if they do they can tell you exactly what they want for it.  Using kinzchat plus makes trading easier, faster, and more efficient.

4. Visit the Webkinz subreddit and post your trading list (just search 'Webkinz' on reddit and you will find the sub).  Again, this works for non-rare items too, and you can also post ISO's if you only need one thing.  It's similar to the Newz forum section, but it isn't regulated by Ganz so you have much more freedom in terms of what you can post or comment, and you don't have to wait for posts or comments to be approved by moderators. You can also look at other user's trade / wish lists here. To make a trade list, create a Google doc and set it so that anyone with the link can view it.  Type out all of the items that you have for trade, and then all of the items that you're looking for.  It's best to include the exact names of items as well as screenshots so that people know what items you're talking about (you can find pictures of Webkinz items via Google, and if you put the item in your dock and mouse over it you can see what the exact name of it is).  If you make your trade list detailed and easy to read (pictures are a must!), people will probably want to trade with you.  You can also just make a trade room, screenshot it, and then post the screenshot (people won't be able to see the names of the items you're offering, however).  People are really nice on this subreddit, and I have never had anyone scam me or back out of a trade.

I hope this helps you find some rare items!

Pippa
